The Mets announced today they’ll have a “Ralph Kiner”:http://www.baseball-reference.com/k/kinerra01.shtml Night in July. What they didn’t tell us was that Kiner would be in the park today. We just spent about a half hour listening to Ralph tell stories about the Mets, Lindsey and Murph.
On getting a day at Shea: “When I played for the Pirates, they gave me a day to get out of town.’’
