A very short one today, 2 1/2 innings ending in a 0-0 tie between Teams Manuel and Alomar.
Pitching lines:
Alomar Team
Phil Humber One inning, no runs, hits, walks or strikeouts.
Kevin Mulvey: One inning, no runs, hits, walks or strikeouts.
Manuel Team
John Maine: One inning, no runs, walks, hits, two strikeouts.
Scott Schoeneweis: One inning, no runs, walks, hits, one strikeout.
Joe Smith: One inning, no runs, walks, hits, one strikeout.
Both starters said they were pleased, but also noted it was only one inning and acknowledged not much can be learned.

You've got some life, John. Watching the Mets in sunny Florida while we are all up here shoveling snow. Wish I was there. Can't wait to watch the game tomorrow!
...why didnt they just play 8 or 9 innings yesterday?
seems weird, all these pitchers and only 16 can throw an inning?
