I’ll be landing in Florida this afternoon ready and excited about starting my 18th spring training and second with the Mets. I’m looking forward to this season because I’ll be covering a team with a realistic chance of going to the World Series.
Pitchers and catchers report tomorrow and Willie Randolph talks with us for the first time Friday morning. In his first press conference last spring, Randolph said the Mets were a playoff team. I wonder if he’ll call them a Series caliber team this year.
