January 18: I am overruled

In my projected roster post I chose Burgos on a coin flip over Feliciano. Joe and a lot of others convinced me this wasn’t the way to go. Burgos is a hard-throwing right-hander, but so is Sosa, and the latter can also start if necessary.
I certainly have a heads-up group of readers. Thanks.

man 34 replies in a blink a\of an eye. i didnt even have a chance to particpate. too many to read and didnt want to say yey or nay.
But i did see Dave mention Milledge, remind me to smack him in the back of the head.
Though Green doesnt give me warm and fuzzies either. unless they gave milledge a attitude adjustment. green and endy.
lo duca as a catcher. he has style.
and ya know pelfrey and maine just may prove something this year. buit lets look at spring training and the all impotent (sic on porpoise) game 1
John,
Johnson has options maybe they send him down and use Newhan as the fifth outfielder until one of the older OF goes down and then recall him. That would allow them to go with Burgos and Feliciano, they started last year carring the extra pen arm while they saw how things shock out. Standridge is my sleeper he also throws real hard with control problems.
Steve,
There is another dave here ( that being the single scarcest name around ). My tag is lower case d :)
That said I picked endy over green and nowhere mentioned Milledge.
Also, you are too slow to smack my in the head. I’d do a flying dutchman on you first.
Dave
John,
I think Burgos makes the big club, and I think we’ll carry an extra pitcher for the first two months. So Feliciano stays too. No need to carry extra fielder, no one will need a day off with all of the built in off days to start the season. I think we’ll go with 4 starters for April, and allow our young kids some extra time.
To Ed (RE: Burgos/Feliciano)
I can see that happening. In fact, it is probably a more likely scenario than what I originally suggested. Newhan can play both OF and INF and it allows them to go with another lefty in the pen.
