The Mets have one less worry heading into spring training. “Carlos Delgado”:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5178 told the AP in Puerto Rico his rehab from two surgeries is on schedule and he’ll be ready for spring training. Delgado had surgery in October on a tendon in his left elbow and on his right wrist for carpal tunnel syndrome.
He expects to take BP on Monday.
“I believe that I have recovered rather well. I am not 100 percent, but anyway, the doctors say that I am not supposed to be 100 percent right now,” Delgado said.
Delgado hit 38 homers with 114 RBI during the season, and batted .351 with four homers and 11 RBI in the playoffs.
