Health questions scuttled Joe Borowski’s two-year deal with the Phillies, but they are now talking about one year. Of course, that begs the question: Don’t the same questions exist over one year?
It’s not a given the Cardinals will bring back Jeff Weaver, but after how he was treated in New York while with the Yankees, it’s doubtful he would consider a return, even if it were to the Mets.
It seems as if he found a home there.
At least he did well for a month or so.
Not sold on him.
To Dave …
Health has to be an issue.
I was talking about Weaver. Wasn’t clear on that..
OK … I get you. There are apparently no health issues with Weaver. He saved his career in St. Louis, so it makes sense if he stays there. I don’t think he wants any part of NY based on how he got roasted when he was with the Yankees. He doesn’t distinguish between Yankees and Mets, it’s all NY to him, and that was a bad memory.
I remember listening to the radio talk shows. they built him up then toasted him.
don’t blame him if he wants no part of ny.
