Willie Randolph gave props to the Cardinals earlier this week, saying, “they played (in the NLCS) like we did when we play well.’’
Albert Pujols isn’t hitting, but others have picked up the slack for him – notably Scott Rolen – which is what happens with championship teams do. Their bullpen has been superb, and that’s what carried the Mets all summer.
And above all, the Cardinals have gotten hot at the right time. Nothing mysterious about it.

Hi John,
So the Cardinals win. It didn’t matter much to me, but I’m sure they have fans who care as much about their team as I do about mine, so somebody is happy in St. Louis and that thought works for me.
Guess my take on the Mo Vaughn project is that it was originally Wilpon’s money anyway, so does that make it a Met/Mo project? I’m not sure what Mo knows about real estate, but I know that Fred knows. At least it is going to a useful/humanitarian cause.
To Joan …
This project is just Mo and his partner. The Mets have nothing to do with it.
