The Mets keep talking about numbers. They want quantity in the their pitching rotation. When the topic of their young arms comes up in regards to the future, they say they are happy with the numbers.
Well, one of those numbers is hurting again. Philip Humber, who got a taste of the bigs in September with the Mets, is pitching in the Arizona Fall Instructional League. Well, not exactly pitching. He’s been shut down with a sore shoulder.
