Some things to look for this week:
- Willie Randolph is expected to talk with the media for the first time since the NLCS. A contract extension will be a topic. GM Omar Minaya said he doesn’t want Randolph to go into 2007 on lame-duck status with nothing for 2008.
- Tom Glavine and Mets could begin talks on his options. Mets want him back, but Glavine’s family has ideas about staying in Atlanta. Mets want this done sooner than later.
- Surgery on Wednesday for Cliff Floyd on strained left Achilles. Surgery coming up for Paul Lo Duca (left thumb) and Chris Woodward (left shoulder).
- Manny Acta will continue his interview tour. He’s talked to Texas. San Francisco and Washington are next.
