You all saw it … amazing catch. Beltran, Delgado, Wright due up this inning. This is where it has to happen.
that was AMAZING!
play of the year…
no more Gary Matthews Jr…
Endy Freakin Chavez!!!
Same story with Heilman – the reason he can’t be a starter – after 20-30 pitches his changeup flatens out. Molina just sat and waited for it, and it was like batting practice. Too bad. See you next year…..
The Mets lost because they couldn’t hit Jeff Suppan and Jeff Weaver. These are 2 journeyman pitchers and quite frankly they didn’t pitch great like idiot McCarver kept saying (keep in mind part of the broadcaster’s job is to make you feel like you are watching something special). The Mets swung at all of the bad pitches and took most of the good ones. The few good pitches that they swung at they missed. I am absolutely positively sure that they were tight at the plate. All of them. Wright was the worst but Chavez, Valentin, LoDuca, Green, and even Beltran and Delgado were tight. They were late on so many 89mph fastballs it made me sick. The umpires with their suddenly giant strike zones didn’t help matters but the reason the Mets lost is that they were tight at the plate. Something was wrong with their mental state.
