If you told the Mets going in that Tom Glavine would give up only three runs they would have grabbed it. The Mets had their chances early against Jeff Weaver to set the tone of the game, but didn’t when they left runners in scoring position in each of the first two innings.
It’s down to this for the Mets: Their next game is either Game 7 tomorrow night at Shea Stadium with a flip-of-the-coin choice pitcher starting for them or in spring training.
