Oliver Perez made three starts this season against St. Louis, and pitched well in two of them.
April 18, at Pittsburgh: Three runs in 6 2/3 innings in a 12-4 victory.
April 24, at St. Louis: Seven runs in five innings in a 7-2 loss.
June 13, at Pittsburgh: Two runs in seven innings in a 2-1 loss.
There’s reason for the Mets to have confidence in Perez, especially because Anthony Reyes (5-8, 5.06) is a very hittable pitcher going for the Cardinals.
