Do you remember all that run support the Mets gave Steve Trachsel during the season? Well, they’d better give him some now because he’s not doing anything to help himself.
He’s already thrown 39 pitches and there’s nobody out in the second. He’s already walked four and given up a home run to Jeff Suppan, the opposing pitcher. Albert Pujols is up with runners at the corners. Nope, better make that Jim Edmonds with the bases loaded.
This is it for Trachsel …. he’s done for today, and if the Mets don’t turn it around, he might be done forever with the Mets.
