Greetings from Shea … beautiful afternoon. For 100 years they played playoff games in the afternoon. Not anymore. No use complaining about TV, but that’s the reason. It’s supposed to be cold tonight. Real good weather to play in. Cheapen your product even more.
Mets, by the way, were denied permission to modify their NLCS roster. The rules state 10 am, day of Game 1, but since there was no Game 1, they wanted to add another pitcher, which could have been Dave Williams, who could have gone Game 5 and keep Tom Glavine on normal rest.
Friday’s game, by the way, is at night.
Willie Randolph about to talk in a few minutes. Gotta run. Will touch base later.

They went from 12 to 11 pitchers, dropping Royce Ring for infielder Anderson Hernandez. Ideally, they would have just swapped out Ring for Williams.
