Very, very confident. Definitely hoping that they get the game in tonight… no sense seeing Carpenter any more or any earlier than necessary.
That being said, I think they ambush Weaver tonight, and Glavine’s been pitching great lately. Between the starters and bullpen, I think the pitching’s a wash in this series – maybe advantage Mets due to the depth of the ‘pen. Our defense is markedly better, and our offense, especially with Rolen and Edmunds hurting, is much, much deeper, even without Cliffy.
Plus, the Mets just seem to have a certain mental toughness, while the Cards showed down the stretch that they tend to skate on thin ice in that department.

I am worried about the pitching ( ours and theirs ).
Floyd’s loss will be felt at some point. They are very thin at OF. How about woody getting a shot in a pinch?
Go Mets.

Dave …
They’d go with Endy Chavez over Chris Woodward. And, you’re right to be concerned about the pitching.
I figured the OF is now green, beltran, endy with tucker as your sole backup.
very flimsy. I would hope that floyd isnt starting with the issues he has, but I guess he is better?
