Greetings from the roof at PNC Park …

If I were up any higher there would be a flight attendant up here passing out peanuts and making sure I wasn’t smuggling any toothpaste. Meant to blog last night after dinner. Went out to an Italian place near the hotel. Got in around 8:30 and started to channel surface and the next thing I knew it was 4 in the morning.

There’s a building near the stadium here with photos of the great Pirates. Clemente, Stargell, Honus Wagner. Didn’t see Ralph Kiner, though. It can’t be of all the great Pirates without Ralph.

Here’s something I haven’t noticed in any other city. In the Pittsburgh yellow pages, under “S’’ there is a listing for Steelers (about 10 pages). History, schedules, special events, etc. Looked under “P’’ and there was the same thing for the Pirates. On the first page they had headshots of two Pirates. Jason Bay and believe it or not, Oliver Perez.

Enjoy the game tonight. I’m sure you’ll be celebrating later.
