The Mets win and the Braves sweep Philly. That’s the formula for clinching the NL East tonight. Tom Glavine gets the ball, but he’s only 16-18 lifetime against the Fish and 7-13 in Florida. One possible scenario is having the Mets win their game, then sit around and watch on TV what’s going on in Atlanta. Who would have thought it, the Mets rooting for Atlanta.
The Mets plan to stay in Miami tonight and leave tomorrow evening for Pittsburgh. So, if they don’t do it tonight they might find out if they clinch by the time they check into their hotel.
