Steve Trachsel goes for his 14th win of the season tonight. Considering he’s coming off back surgery, It’s safe to say he’s already exceeded the Mets’ expectations.
Things to look for tonight:
* The division is theirs. Eventually, Willie Randolph has to think about getting David Wright some time off as a way to get his stroke back. It is clear he’s pressing.
* Jose Valentin’s hammy is still tender. If Valentin plays tonight at second, then Chris Woodward could play third.
* Pedro Martinez is working out in Florida and Cliff Floyd is playing in rehab games. We should know more of Floyd’s timetable today.
Checking out for now. Will be back when I get to the park. Have a good day all.
