Tomorrow night the Mets will recognize their 1986 World Series championship team. Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling, Gary Carter, Mookie Wilson, Lenny Dyskstra, Wally Backman and Darryl Strawberry will be there. Doc Gooden, Davey Johnson and Mel Stottlemyre won’t be.
It figures to be an emotional night. That’s usually the case when memories are involved.
