
One out in the fourth and we just had our no-hit pool for John Maine. Who would have believed it? Willie Randolph said he’s not looking at Maine right now as to where he might fit in with the Mets’ playoff rotation, but sooner or later he’ll have to address it if he keeps pitching like this.
He seems easier to watch than Steve Trachsel, who has allowed 199 base runners in 121 2/3 innings.
Nick Johnson just homered to break the scoreless innings streak at 26. No, I didn’t win.
