It’s not like this hasn’t happened before with Tom Glavine, the Mets wasting a winnable outing. Glavine knows his body better than anybody, and said he’s not concerned with 123 pitches, that he felt strong. Definitely strong enough to win, giving up two runs in six innings.
Of Glavine’s five losses this season, four have been by a total of six runs, including two 2-1 defeats, of which last night is one. Glavine says he’s feeling better and it’s slowly coming back to him. That’s key for the Mets.
His teammates, however, didn’t do him any favors, stranding six.
