Who would have thought it? Steve Trachsel is going for eight straight wins and so far is up 4-0 in the second.
The last time he lost was May 17 at St. Louis, 1-0. The loss before that was at Philly, 2-0, in the five-inning rain-shortened game. The last stinker he lost was April 30 at Atlanta. In that one he lasted 3 2/3 innings. He stays on this pace he’ll give them 200 innings, and considering he began the season as the fifth starter, that’s more than they could have hoped for.
Sorry for the late post, but the Internet seems to be a new concept in Cincinnati. It has been down for the better part of two days.
Any, before the game Pedro Martinez threw 60 pitches. Look for a simulated game Friday or Saturday in New York, and them perhaps a start next week against the Cubs.
