It took me seven hours to get here from Toronto. Weather delays, flights bagged, re-routed through Cleveland. By the way, the Burger King at Cleveland Hopkins Airport has some good rock ‘n roll photos. The Rock Hall is there, and someplace you really should see.
Jim Morrison’s parents donated one of their son’s grade school report cards. Teacher’s note said something along the lines of: “Jimmy is a bright boy with lots of potential but has a tendency to be disruptive in class.’’ Who would have guessed?
Anyway, made it to Boston. Caught the last few innings of the Red Sox-Phillies game. (Why the Phillies would walk Mark Loretta to pitch to David Ortiz is beyond me.) Then grabbed some dinner. Seafood, of course.
Mets news of the day. Well, I’m sure you’ve heard by now Jose Reyes is the NL Player of the Week again (he shared it with David Wright last week). Mets have won it three weeks in a row. I like his chances of being Player of the Month.Pedro Martinez will hold court tomorrow. That’s going to be a circus. He said the other day he has nothing to prove, but bet on this: He wants to stuff the Red Sox bad. The Mets have to be concerned of him being too high emotionally.
