Here’s tonight’s batting order for the Mets
SS Jose Reyes: Leads NL with 30 steals
C Paul Lo Duca: Has scored in eight of last nine games
CF Carlos Beltran: Leads ML center fielders with 18 homers
1B Carlos Delgado: Hit .444 last week
3B David Wright: Hit four homers with 11 RBI last week
2B Jose Valentin: Has 19 RBI in last 22 starts
RF Xavier Nady: Returns to lineup from DL
LF Endy Chavez: Hitting .353 over last 10 games
RHP Orlando Hernandez: Averaging 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings.
Willie Randolph doesn’t like Bronson Arroyo’s stuff against Lastings Milledge, said Endy Chavez might fare better and he’s playing well enough to start. … Arroyo is 1-1 with a 7.71 ERA lifetime against Mets, but his two starts were in 2000 and 2001, so there’s not much familiarity. The Mets with the most at-bats against him are Delgado (1-7) and Eli Marrero (2-5).
