The sound of rushing wind you hear is a sigh of relief from the Mets after Pedro Martinez threw three scoreless innings today against Baltimore. “I suspect he’ll probably never give up an earned run,’’ was how Billy Wagner sarcastically put it. Not possible, but the message was understood. Martinez felt his sore right big toe several times, but not to where it impacted anything. If it feels this way during the season, he’ll take it. “It’s a big load off my shoulders,’’ Martinez said, and everybody knew what he meant. Cliff Floyd sat again with the flu, but says he’ll play tomorrow. … Wagner long-tossed again before the game and will play catch tomorrow. He’s not worried about not getting in a game before the team breaks camp. … A sign spring training is winding down: The Mets are loading the truck for the trip north, complete with kids’ bikes and toys. It leaves Tuesday. … Willie Randolph said he’d take it to the end of camp before deciding how many pitchers he will take, 11 or 12.
